Yes, if you ask me there is cold water in FL. We often get cold water upwellings in the 60 deg range. That may not sound cold to you ice divers. But, when you are in 80 deg water at the surface and you hit a 60 deg thermocline, it gets your attention. At those times my 3 mil just doesn't seem to be warm enough. The beenie definately helps.
